Just for Fun...

Some times I just like to take photos for no reason. Most of the time, the kids don't mind.
Lacy is getting so tall, and she is my hand full. But she is a cutie, when she wants to be.
Ronnie, is just a big goof off. He likes to roll up in the blankets, and pretend to fight the monster in side it. He rolls all over and looks ridiculous, but hey, what ever makes him happy and keeps his attention is good for me.
Shelby here, is trying to be extra sweet, and normally is always sweet. She is into loving her stuffed animals, and here she just got a new dolphin from a garage sale, and the lady gave it to her. She was glad not to give up her quarter.
Daddy, well, he isn't one much for picture taking. So here it is, how he feels about it. And yes that is a remote in his hand, so maybe I was just bothering him at the wrong time.

Fright Nite.... Boo!

Fright Nite is finally over. Im not sure I like halloween or not. This year, we didn't have anyone come to our house. It is kind of off by itself and the driveway is so long and dark, Im sure no one would have come. We went to the church to the Trunk or Treat, and then to a friends party. So glad it is over. And now, the sugar rush begins.

Here is Ronnie and Shelby on Halloween Day, Ronnie wore his costume to school, and Shelby decided not to, as to not get it dirty before trick or treating. Good Girl....
Here they are, Ronnie Shelby and Lacy all ready to go. we are a scary family this year. Skeletons, and Just from the dead.
We couldn't find daddy a costume. Actually we did, but some one out bid my really high on Ebay, and I wasn't going to pay that amount for his costume, not knowing if he would even wear it. So a skeleton shirt just had to do.
And as for me, I just wanted to know how long hair felt, and well, I'll never grow my hair this long, it was a pain all night. It was in my face, stuck to other people, and just a pain.
We did make a cute couple. And the evening started off great. With me and a great guy. I was happy when the night was finally over the the sugar was asleep too. But then as you know, we have a week of sugar and the hyper kids to deal with. So the candy disappeared faster than they knew why.

HALLOWEEN DAYZ....

This is supposed to be at the bottom of the blog, but I'm retarded. Here are the kiddos that came to my little shin dig. On the left you have Jeffrey, Lacy, Shelby, Laura, Angelica, Jack-Jack, Triston, and Andrew.
Shelby likes to pretend she is scary, but I'm afraid that no matter what she does she is still always such a cutie. I can't believe that those fake teeth even fit into her mouth. That's scary.
Here at the fire pit, is Mr. Jeff Gorum, and Ron, and barely in the back ground is Mrs. Kathy Gorum, our favorite massage therapist. She really knows where to mend your back. They used to live by the rental house, and are great friends.
Here is Jeffery and Cassandra Gorum, fighting to see who can get the doughnut off first. And then below we have Little Ron.

Here is little Ronnie, trying to carve his pumpkin. You should have seen the results. One big huge eyeball. The face he created all fell out of the pumpkin. He then decided he meant to do that and said it was a one eyed guy. We all laughed and he now wants another pumpkin.


It's Halloween again. We just had another rambuncious party! Every year, I send out invitations, and ask people to RSVP, and what happens, I never hear from anybody. Why do I even bother having the party. I go ahead and buy all the food and get things ready and no one shows. At least those who do show are an hour late. There are some circumstances that are with in reason. But what can the rest of you say. It was 6:30 and the party started at 6:00, I get so stressed and for what? If they show, great and if not, well, maybe I won't invite them to the next party. But don't tell me you are coming and then not show up or even call. I hate that. We had a good time despite all of the no shows. Here are a few clips.
Here is our friend Dee Dee. She just moved here with her sister from California. Long story. Great costume, a little scary and gory for my taste, but to each their own, hahahahahha.
Here is the Vega Family. Angelica, Dinoisio, Laura, Jean Michael, and Maria. Jean Michael is my favorite little guy. He has autism, and I adore him. I believe the feeling is mutual. He always wants to come to my house, or sit with me in church, and likes to hold my hand and give kisses. He says, "Yes, Your Magesty." He memorizes all the disney movies. He's great and is teaching me a lot. These were some of the pumpkins that they carved.
This guy is a funny story. While Ron was at the BP academy, he had a teacher that he butted heads with quite often. For those of you who know, this is the teacher he wrote the "Pee Pee Letter" to. We were getting ready to move out of the rental, and Smith Real Estate had someone coming over to view the property. When we opened the door, it was Jack Farmer and his family. Ron's instructor. We all just laughed. But since he is not Ron's superior, they get along just fine now. Here is Jack and two of his kids, Andrew, and Jack-Jack.
We bobbed for Dougnuts, and you couldn't use your hands. However for the adults, some of them had a big mouth and just ate the whole thing. Cheaters.

Shelby Turns 6.... Aghh Growing up....

Happy Birthday Shelby. 6th birthday. She was so excited. She thinks she is catching up to Ronnie. It's funny how they think that they will someday catch up to you. Not realizing that others are growing older as well. At her party we made princess hats, and pictures. We ate fun princess things, and danced like princess's too.
Here is a photo of her good friends from her kindergarten class. It is Olivia and Katelynn.
Lacy is dancing up a storm to win the princess dance contest. They love to play freeze dance. where they dance while the music is playing and when it stops they have to freeze. We play this all the time.
Jordan Katelyyn and Olivia. They all make a good play team. Jordan goes to dance with Shelby and so does Olivia. Dance pictures will come soon.
I'm not in to spending hords of money on a icing filled cake that is full of sugar. So once again, I attempted to make my own. It wasn't too bad and at least it had real frosting on it. And it was only 3 $ not 20 $. They best part about it, it was all gone and we didn't have any left overs so it probably tasted good.

Harley came to visit.... Sept 2007

My little Harley. She likes to cuddle with me. I guess you could say, I believe that I am the best thing that happened to my nieces and nephews. As an Aunt, It is my right to believe in such Fairy tale things. I got the first real smile, and she loves me. As do all of them.
Ronnie, Morgan, Lacy and Shelby enjoy a moment tackling Uncle Jason. Does he know this is happening? How long will he let them beat him up? What a good uncle and dad to climb on. Maybe we should head to the park later for real climbing.
Harley is sleeping in my laundry basket. All bundled up, wish I could still fit in the laundry basket. I'd be lucky to fit into a 5 load washing machine at the laundromat.

Uncle Jason is all smiles, because he gets to go home now. While Aunt Kelly snickers in the back ground because she knows she's gonna have to drive while he sleeps the whole way. We really enjoy having family for a visit. At least most of them and sometimes.

Moving Day again?

This is not the house, it is the house that my great grandma June McBride lived in, in the town of Thatcher. Misty and I used to spend some of out summer break there. It looks a little different now, and I think it is actually empty.
We finally found a home that we'd like to buy, as we have been renting from a horrible management company. Smith real estate..... If you see the name, stay away from it. Our rental had a shower that leaked to the basement, so two people could shower at once. Mold in the ceiling because of the leak, a hole in the floor of the garage, that we are lucky to have not broken any legs in, Too many wasp nests to count, Junipers from hell, that have overgrown the whole yard, No AC, but it wasn't too bad, spiders and cockroaches in the gazzzillions, and needless to say, that we had been asking for these things to be taken care of for the 6 months we lived there. Now, our friends from cali, one of Ron's old instructors from the Border Patrol academy, is now living there. They just transfered here from California. We were glad to find this new house and own again.
While on my last trip to Mesa, which was the middle of August, we went out to eat with my uncle Doug who was visiting from Oregon, and my Aunt Kathy who was visiting from Texas. Doug has a new girlfriend, an then Misty has a new boyfriend, after 2 marriages. I hope they both have found some happiness to last them. It is hard on their kids, Im sure.

First day of School for this year, Just before we moved Ronnie and Shelby started school at Jose Barrios Elementary. We actually live in a different zone, but I don't want to change schools as this is a good one. I will drive them every morning, or Ron will and pick them up. It is only about 2 miles or less. The teachers are great there and the curriculum is a good one. I teach there a lot too. I taught Ronnie's class for over a week, while his teacher was out, and I sub a lot too, So I am there with them. Lacy goes to a friends house some times when I am teaching. Can't wait till next year, when they are all in school. Yipee...

This is the dining and back side of the kitchen. We would like to open it all up and move the island to the wall and put a new island in.
This is the family room. It has accoustic tiles on the ceiling that we will be taking down and replacing with drywall. Also, I want to take the wall boards down 3/4 of the way and make it like oh whats it called, um a chair rail, and leave the wood on the bottom part. We will paint and do some fun things for updating.
This is the little room off the kitchen that is on the back side of the master. The master doesn't have a door on this side, so it is a little open, too open.
This is on one side of the back yard. It is all fenced and the kids can play safely as well as the dogs have a place to be.
This is looking out the front side, down the mountain, and down our long ole driveway. We have about 2 acres, and it is great. We have big plans and I hope it involes my plan of animals. We just added a new dog, his name is Buster. He is a full pit bull, and is going to be really a big dog. I hope Ron doesn't think he will pass as a horse for me. I want a real horse.

We have beautiful views and no close neighbors. It is a little windy up here on the hill however and it even feels a bit colder than right in the city where we were renting. We are definately excited about the fun projects ahead of us with this house.

Great things to do here....

The Cliff Dwellings.....North of Lake Roberts lies a beautiful setting, in the mountainside. Grandma and Papa John took us on a ride and we went to the Cliff Dwellings. We got to walk up the mountain, and then inside the places where the indians lived. Even grandma made the hike. It wasn't too hard, but it was a hike.


Ronnie found a great walking stick for grandma that helped her to make the hike. Ronnie however does not like to have his picture taken hence the frown on his face.

Lacy wants to live here when she becomes an indian. She doesn't really understand the idea that there are still indians, they have just evolved as we have. There were still eaten corn cobs in the little rooms. We climbed up ladders and into little rooms. The rocks were still held together by the clay that they had used as a type of cement. IT was really neat. And the kids had a good time.

On the walk down, we took a few breaks in the shade. It was interesting with all the pretty rocks and beautiful green shrubs and trees. We spotted poisonous plants and great areas where the indians might have climbed. We even found an arrow head. Made from some type of obsidian stone. It was really cool. August was a little bit hot, but we managed it, as it is nothing like Arizona heat where we came from.

Make up artist ....101

Okay, so grandma Pauline comes to visit, and get the royal treatment. She gets to have her hair and make up done. And she gets to play kid games. Im sure she loves it. At least she played the part for the pictures and for the fun and entertainment of Lacy.
Eye shadow is Lac's favorite thing to put on. And not just a light shadow, but full fledged color schemes.
Grandma you look beautiful. Reminds me of that lady fom the show, ummmm you know the guy with whose line is it anyway, I can't think right now, oh, Drew Carrey, is that his name?
Here she is the makeup artist herself. She is the little diva that loves to do hair and make up. Her hair as you noticed is short again. And guess what I found in the trash this morning? Her dolls hair. She was giving it a hair cut, not knowing it wouldn't grow out again, she says, "It will grow mom."

My little Lacy turns FOUR......

Birthday parties wear me out. We through together a quick party for Lacy. She turned 4 on July 3. We invited a few friends from church and she was as pleased as pie.

We played Duck Duck Goose, we had a dance off contest, and we played who's got the button, and it went just fine. Some of the kids included Emily and Becca Hall, Laura and Angelica and Jean Micheal Vega, Adriana and Andrew Lewis. Their moms too, but you know Lacy only wants to know who the kids are.

She did get some fun gifts and she actually showed some gratitude. We have really been working on that. She has longer hair here, but shortly after this, her daddy convinced her to get her hair cut. She The Dorothy Hammil cut came the next week. She does look cute with it.
We ate cake and icecream, and ate lunch with watermelon too. She is my little melon eater. Any kind of melon she loves.
